The Ballad of Joyless Jimmy

There’s a Barman at our local
Should you pass along our road
Where drinks are served
By a deadpan mope
In rueful ice-cool mode
Joyless Jimmy Fester
To all around is known
A cheerless serving misanthrope
Who’ll pick up any bone
His speed of service rapid
Your drinks delivered quick
With baleful stare
And doldrums glare
Pay Up you’ll not get tick
He’ll never give you credit
Whether travelled near or far
It’s full price here no happy hour
In the gloom of Grumpy’s Bar
