I’m filling up she told herself
My vehicle low on gas
As she pulled onto a forecourt
Where offside filler caps amass
Alighting from the offside door
She realised her blunder
Then returned and did a U-Turn
Whereupon began to wonder
Two more times she tried again
Round and round to no avail
Then two more times recapping
Now confused beyond the pail
It goes to show that multitasking
Can knot one’s knickers get one vexed
As turning circles may give funny turns
To leave one empty and perplexed
Who knows why such confusion
Might cause a girl to feel bereft
Although a lesson learned most handy
Is Offside Right and Nearside Left
