Morriña

 Water bucket brimming
A thirsty weight to carry home
Loping back on rocky track
A dripping rhythmic metronome

The waft of homestead calling
Almost done not far to go
Tired hands protest in agony
Why is arduous so slow

Sounds of laughter in the air
Sing out in fleeting pleasure
Curtain calls as night descends
Harmonised in sundown leisure
